On Monday 22 November, the Troika countries (United States, United Kingdom and Norway), the European Union, Switzerland and Norway welcomed the reinstatement of Abdallah Hamdok as Prime Minister of Sudan’s civilian-led transition, following an agreement reached the day before. At the same time, they called for the release of all those imprisoned since the military coup of 25 October, and for demonstrations to be allowed.
