Euro area inflation confirmed at 3.0% in August

17/09/2021 (Agence Europe) – According to figures released by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Friday 17 September, the euro area annual inflation rate was 3.0% in August 2021, up from 2.2% in July. European Union annual inflation was 3.2% in August, up from 2.5% in July. The lowest annual rates were registered in Malta (0.4%), Greece (1.2%) and Portugal (1.3%).
