09/09/2021 (Agence Europe) – EU Commissioners Margrethe Vestager (Competition) and Valdis Dombrovskis (Trade) will meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and Trade Representative Katherine Tai in Pittsburgh on 29 September. Together they will inaugurate the EU-US Trade and Technology Council, established on 15 June by US President Joe Biden and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (see EUROPE 12741/2). “We have worked hard since the summit [EU-US summit of 15 June, Ed.] to identify areas where we can take concrete action to ensure that trade and technology policies serve citizens”, said the meeting’s participants.
