European Commission again accepts London unilaterally extending grace periods under Northern Ireland Protocol

The European Commission has decided not to pursue at this stage its infringement procedure opened in March against the United Kingdom over non-compliance with the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland, in order to continue to focus on “constructive discussions” with London on the issue (see EUROPE B12678A1), Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič said on the morning of Tuesday 7 September.
