European Commission adopts equivalence decisions for five third countries with digital Covid-19 certificate

Over the first half of August, the European Commission adopted five equivalence decisions for Covid-19 certificates that were in force in North Macedonia, Turkey, Ukraine, the Vatican and San Marino.

These third countries are therefore now connected to the European Certificate System and the certificates they issue are recognised in the same way as the EU’s digital Covid certificate. Conversely, these countries will also recognise the European digital certificate.
