European Commission grants €1.5 billion in aid to Portugal under REACT-EU

28/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission granted €1.5 billion in aid to Portugal under the REACT-EU European Territorial Recovery Initiative on Monday 28 June, thereby approving two European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) operational programmes. A special feature of this new financial support is that it also relates to the outermost regions, namely the Azores (€96 million) and Madeira (€64 million). (PH)
