EU Council is expected to endorse its position on redesign of control system

EU Fisheries Ministers are expected to reach a general approach on 28 or 29 June on the text to reform fisheries management procedures (see EUROPE B12742A16).

Once the EU Council has adopted its position, negotiations between the EU institutions on this issue can begin.

Another item on the agenda of the Fisheries Council in Luxembourg (see other news): the Commission’s communication on fishing opportunities for 2022.
