04/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – European Green Week dedicated to the zero pollution ambition ended on 4 June with the launch by the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions of the Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform, to turn the EU’s Zero Pollution Action Plan for air, water, and land by 2030 (see EUROPE 12719/4) into reality by mobilising cities and regions. Its tasks will be: – to bring together actors from different communities and fields of expertise to address interrelated challenges, for example by strengthening a common environment and health agenda; – to define a common vision to achieve the objectives; – share good practices on financing innovation and employment, sustainable production, and consumption; and – and to create thematic hubs such as the Clean Air Tech Hub.
