MEPs approve €11.6 million in aid for dismissed workers

On Monday, 31 May, the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgets approved (40 votes in favour and one against) disbursing €11.6 million in aid from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to dismissed workers. Of this amount, €6.8 million is earmarked to help 1,700 workers dismissed from the air carriers KLM and Finnair, €3.7 million is for 1,500 workers dismissed from Belgian airports, and €1.1 million is allocated to help 500 workers dismissed from a foundry...
