European Commission consults on possible new measures for ecodesign and labelling of phones

On Monday, 31 May, the European Commission launched a public consultation to gather feedback from stakeholders on possible new measures regarding the purchase, use, repair and recycling of mobile phones and tablets. 

According to the roadmap published by the Commission, these new measures could take the form of an implementing act and a delegated act complementing the EU Ecodesign Directive (2009/125) and the EU Energy Labelling Regulation (2017/1369), respectively. The aim is to ensure...
