The EU-Japan video conference summit on 27 May has now been confirmed (see EUROPE B12692A5). The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, will represent the EU and hold talks with the Japanese Prime Minister, Yoshihide Suga.
The summit will cover bilateral relations between the two partners, as well as their role in the multilateral arena and cooperation in the matter of foreign and security policy.
