European Parliament approves Creative Europeprogramme

19/05/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 May, MEPs gave the green light for the Creative Europe programme, which aims to support the EU’s cultural and creative sectors, to enter into force. The programme was the subject of an interinstitutional Agreement last December (see EUROPE B12623A2). With a specific budget of €2.4 billion, it will promote cultural and linguistic diversity, European cultural heritage, and support cultural professionals and the news media sector. (AC)
