A second public consultation, launched on 12 May by the European Commission, is open until 4 August on the future EU strategy for sustainable textiles which will aim to strengthen industrial competitiveness and innovation, promote the European market for sustainable and recycled textiles and foster new business models (see EUROPE B12630A15, B12485A9).
