Kiev sanctions three French MEPs from Identity and Democracy group for visiting Crimea

24/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – On the evening of Tuesday 23 March, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, validated, sanctions against, among others, Virginie Joron, Jean-Lin Lacapelle and Philippe Olivier, three French MEPs from the Identity and Democracy group who, without the authorisation of the Ukrainian authorities, had travelled to Crimea is 2020, which was illegally annexed by Russia.
