14 EU countries call for simplification elements in the post-2020 CAP agreement

Austria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania and Spain call, in a note dated Wednesday 17 March, for the final compromise on the post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to include several simplification elements (see EUROPE B12678A10).

The Agriculture Council on 22-23 March will take stock of the negotiations between the institutions on CAP reform.
