European Commission considering unilateral quotas for 2021 if no agreement is reached with UK by end of March

The European Commission is considering ‘unilateral’ fishing quotas for shared stocks if no agreement is reached with the UK by 31 March (see EUROPE B12670A19).

This is set out in a Commission working document dated 15 March, while consultations with the UK are currently taking place to set the final total allowable catches (TACs) for 2021.
