European Commission proposes stock targets for consultations with the UK on 2021 quotas

On Wednesday 10 February, the European Commission adopted a proposal concerning the position to be taken on behalf of the European Union in the consultations with the United Kingdom to agree on total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas for 2021 and for certain deep-sea stocks for 2021 and 2022 (see EUROPE B12647A7).

In its annexes, the proposal contains guidelines on the targets for each of the shared stocks, and takes into account scientific advice about the resource’s status...
