Eurozone inflation confirmed at -0.3% in December 2020

20/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – In December 2020, the euro area annual inflation rate was -0.3% for the fourth consecutive month. In the European Union, it was 0.3%, according to figures published by the statistical office of the EU (Eurostat) on Wednesday 20 January. The lowest annual rates were reported in Greece (-2.4%), Slovenia (-1.2%) and Ireland (-1.0%), whereas the highest annual rates were recorded in Poland (3.4%), Hungary (2.8%) and the Czech Republic (2.4%).
