Second public consultation of European Commission on ‘Sustainable Use of Pesticides’ Directive

On Monday 18 January, the European Commission launched a new public consultation on the ‘Sustainable Use of Pesticides’ Directive (2009/128/EC) with a view to its possible revision, scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022 in the framework of the European Green Deal.

The first consultation concerned the roadmap and the preliminary impact assessment of this initiative (see EUROPE B12498A18). 360 comments have been received and are available for consultation.
