04/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – The regulation on the duty of care for European importers of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold from high-risk conflict zones came into force on 1 January. It aims to contribute to the suppression of funding for armed groups and human rights abuses by controlling the trade in minerals from conflict zones.
