Transatlantic relations and strategic autonomy on EU Council’s agenda

The Foreign Ministers will meet in Brussels on Monday 7 December to discuss transatlantic relations and the EU’s strategic autonomy. They should also adopt the framework of sanctions for human rights violations around the world.

After a quick discussion in November (see EUROPE B12605A5), the heads of diplomacy will discuss the future of transatlantic relations in greater depth. This subject will also be discussed at the European Council on 10 and 11 December.
