Error regarding start date of trilogues on revision of MRV Regulation for ship emissions

Brussels, 13/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – Our article (see EUROPE B12594A26) dated 3 November stated that the inter-institutional negotiations ('trilogues') on the revision of the EU system for monitoring, reporting and verifying CO2 emissions from maritime transport (Regulation 2015/757, known as the ‘MRV Regulation’) started on 10 November. This was a mistake. No date has yet been set. According to our information, it is likely that these trilogues will not begin until 2021. (DG)
