European Commission is considering three new legislative proposals relating to maritime transport sector

In response to the call by Member States for a carbon-neutral, safe, automated and competitive European maritime transport system (see EUROPE B12501A16), the European Commission is considering revising Directive 2009/18 governing the investigation of accidents in the maritime transport sector, Directive 2009/16 on port State control and Directive 2009/21 on compliance with flag State requirements.
