Public consultation on future common requirements for snails imported into EU

05/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – A public consultation is open until 30 October on a future European Commission initiative that will impose common food safety requirements for all snails intended for consumption on the EU market. The implementing regulation under preparation will amend EU legislation (amendment of the delegated regulation (EU) 2019/625) to impose the same requirements for imports of live or processed snails.
