EU welcomes “historic” signing of peace agreement between government and rebels

The EU, through its High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, welcomed on Saturday 3 October the signing of the peace agreement on the same day between the Transitional Government of Sudan and the Sudan Revolutionary Movements in Juba (South Sudan) as “a historic achievement paving the way for inclusive and comprehensive peace in Sudan”.
