David Sassoli expects “counter-proposals” from EU Council on MFF and European Recovery Plan

In his speech at the opening of the European Council on Thursday 1 October, the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli was keen to maintain pressure on Member States to agree to improve the arrangements concerning the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021–2027 and the post-Covid-19 Recovery Plan for the economy (see EUROPE B12571A4).
