Situation in Eastern Mediterranean at heart of an extraordinary meeting on 24 and 25 September

24/08/2020 (Agence Europe) – The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, announced on Monday 17 August that the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean would be discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the European Council on 24 and 25 September in Brussels. “All options will be on the table”, he warned on 19 August in conclusions published at the end of the European leaders' videoconference, adding that it was “urgent” to defuse “growing” tensions.
