Seasoned meat, agreement on Swiss list of commitments to WTO

22/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday, 21 July, the decision of the EU Council of 13 July to accept Swiss concessions to the WTO on seasoned meat was published (https://bit.ly/3htNp4u). As Swiss imports of seasoned meat were rising sharply and were considered too damaging to its producers, the Swiss government had opted to reclassify these products. De facto, this allowed it to increase the out-of-quota customs duty from 2018: from CHF 850 to CHF 2304 per 100 kg of meat for tariff line...
