Commission launches consultation on needs of EU postal sector

The European Commission announced, on Tuesday 14 July, the launch of a public consultation on the postal services directive. Objective: to assess the impact of the directive in its current form and the needs of the postal sector.

The public consultation on the directive, which was last revised in 2008 (see EUROPE B9568A19, B9690A11), will be an opportunity to assess how the postal market has contributed to the objectives of economic and social cohesion, consumer protection, innovation and...
