Suspension of airport slots regulation, subject of disagreements between airlines and airport operators

Like the International Air Transport Association (IATA) last week, the organisation Airlines for Europe called on the EU, on Thursday 25 June, to extend the suspension of the European airport slot regulation (see EUROPE B12456A17).

This regulation obliges airlines to operate at least 80% of the take-off and landing slots reserved for them at European airports. Companies continued to comply with this rule at the beginning of the crisis, fearing that their slots would be allocated to...
