Fight against racism must start within institutions themselves, which are not representative of diversity of EU, according to Commission and Parliament

It’s time to do more than listen to them, we need to talk about racism”, insisted Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, welcoming the European Parliament’s decision to put this topic at the top of the agenda for the plenary session which opened on Wednesday 17 June.

It began with a minute’s silence in memory of George Floyd and all victims of racism.
