EU poultry and egg sectors call on Commission to manage import surges

29/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – In a letter sent on Wednesday 29 April to the European Commission, EU agricultural cooperatives and organisations (Copa-Cogeca) are concerned about the effects of the Covid-19 crisis on the poultry and egg sectors. They ask the institution to manage imports through tariff quota management mechanisms according to the evolution of the consumer market “to avoid any oversupply in Europe”.
