15/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 14 April, the European Commission invited stakeholders and citizens of the European Union to give their opinion on the roadmap for the development of its future strategy for an intelligent integration of the energy sectors. This strategy aims to better link the different energy sectors in the EU and to make best use of the synergies made possible by an integrated energy system, thereby reducing emissions. According to the Commission, "it will build a more decentralised and digital energy system, in which consumers are empowered to make their energy choices". Planned for June, the strategy could be postponed to a later date (see other news). In addition, due to a technical problem, it has not yet been possible to open the online consultation, which will last 4 weeks. Contributions can nevertheless be sent by email, until 6 May, to the address: ENER-SECTOR-INTEGRATION@ec.europa.eu (DG)
