Tidal power generation in Europe is expected to increase by 50% in 2019, according to Ocean Energy Europe

Tidal power generation in Europe will increase by 50% in 2019 compared to the previous year, according to a report published on Monday 23 March by Ocean Energy Europe (OEE), a network of organisations in the ocean energy sector.

This represents an increase of 15 GWh produced, enough to supply 4,000 households. By the end of 2019, cumulative production had reached 49 GWh.
