On Thursday 19 March, Michel Barnier, the European Union's chief negotiator for future relations with the United Kingdom announced that he had “tested positive for COVID-19”.
“I’m feeling as well as can be expected at home. (...) I’m keeping my spirits up”, he said via Twitter, adding that he and his team are following the health guidelines closely. He went on to say: “Each one of us has a role to play to win this collective war against the virus”.
