Commission sets up a scientific advisory group on COVID-19

In line with the call by the Heads of State and Government, the European Commission announced on 17 March that it had set up a Scientific Council dedicated to COVID-19 (see EUROPE B12443A1). This team of virologists and epidemiologists, which will advise the Commission on scientific and coordinated risk management measures, will hold its first meeting on 18 March.
