04/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – Some 22 European cities and capitals that are members of Eurocities (including Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Helsinki, London, Paris, Prague, Vienna and Warsaw) presented a policy paper on Wednesday 4 March calling for European legislative action to better regulate digital short-term rental platforms. While these platforms create upward pressure on housing costs, explain the signatory cities, the latter remain powerless in the face of the phenomenon, which permanently undermines the social mix in the neighbourhoods.
