25/02/2020 (Agence Europe) – In 2019, one in two European companies reported using at least one type of social media, which represents an increase of 16% since 2014 (34%), according to the Statistical Office of the European Union, Eurostat, in a press release on Tuesday 25 February. However, disparities between Member States are still high: the use of social media is highest in Malta (84%), followed by Denmark (75%) and the Netherlands (74%) and lowest in Romania (33%), Bulgaria (34%) and Poland (37%). The highest increases were registered in Denmark and Luxembourg (both +26%), followed by Finland (+25%) and Sweden (+24%).
