After Brexit, Renew Europe group will welcome most new MEPs

As a result of Brexit, new MEPs officially took office on Saturday 1 February, the day after the British left the European Union.

Of the 73 seats left vacant by the United Kingdom, only 27 have been redistributed (see EUROPE B12040A5).

It is the Renew Europe Group that will get the largest number of MEPs: six in total. They are the Danish Linea Sǿgaard-Lidell, the Irish Barry Andrews, the Spanish Adrián Vázquez Lázara, the Italian elected in France Sandro Gozi, the French Ilana Cicurel...
