Martin Buschmann leaves GUE/NGL group in European Parliament after revelations about his ultra-nationalist past

28/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – The GUE/NGL group said on Tuesday 28 January that it had accepted the decision of German MEP Martin Buschmann to resign as a member of the group. The resignation, with immediate effect, follows revelations that Mr Buschmann was a member of the far-right, ultra-nationalist German political party NPD in the 1990s. The GUE/NGL said it was “shocked and deeply concerned” by these revelations and “disappointed in the breach of trust” that had been committed....
