MEPs call on Moscow to stop unlawful prosecution of Lithuanian judges

29/11/2019 (Agence Europe) – In a resolution by the EPP, Greens/EFA, I ECR, S&D and Renew Europe groups (493 votes in favour, 43 against and 86 abstentions), the European Parliament called on Russia, on Thursday 28 November, to stop the “politically motivated” prosecution of Lithuanian judges and prosecutors who found 67 Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian citizens guilty of war crimes against Lithuania after the events of 13 January 1991 in Vilnius.
