The European Parliament made it clear, on Thursday 28 November, that it will under no circumstances bow to the envisaged disappearance of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA) in the future partnership between the EU and the ACP States (Africa/Caribbean/Pacific), following the expiration of the Cotonou Agreement in February 2020.
