European Parliament Civil Liberties Committee strengthens position of its rapporteurs on key issues

Members of the European Parliament's Civil Liberties Committee (LIBE) confirmed on Tuesday evening, 24 September, a series of votes cast before the European elections on major issues, allowing them to open or resume negotiations with Member States. They also approved the negotiating teams.

They did so in particular on the reports on the reintroduction of temporary controls in the Schengen area, the report by Tanja Fajon (S&D, Slovenia) which did not reach agreement with the EU Council, but...
