Fires in Amazon, EU feels co-responsible and wants to help, says Donald Tusk in New York

It is a message of solidarity and co-responsibility that the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, delivered in New York, at the event dedicated to the Action for the Amazon, during the UN General Assembly on Monday 23 September.

Without naming Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, he called for a global surge, hoping that the “shock” of the “tragedy” of the devastating fires “would take us out of the lethargy”.
