Irene Tinagli favourite to chair European Parliament Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs

12/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Italian Socialist delegation proposes that Irene Tinagli take over the chairmanship of the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON), which was left vacant after Roberto Gualtieri's appointment as Italian Minister of Economy in the second Conte government (see EUROPE B12325A1). The election to the parliamentary committee will take place on Monday 16 September in Strasbourg, in the margins of the plenary session.
