Certain steels subject to safeguards will be exempted from other trade defence measures

04/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – Some steel products subject to safeguards will now be exempted from parallel trade defence measures, the European Commission announced in an implementing Regulation published on Tuesday 3 September. Last February, the Commission imposed safeguard measures for a period of three years on certain steel imports into the EU (see EUROPE B12185A4). 26 categories of steel products are thus subject to tariff quotas, providing that an out-of-quota customs duty of 25%...
