On the evening of Monday 26 August, on behalf of his country's sovereignty, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, dismissed the G7's proposal for at least $20 million (around €18 million) in emergency aid to help Brazil put out fires in the Amazon (see EUROPE B12313A5).
