Twenty-Eight hope for an agreement before end of 2019 on EU budget after 2020

20/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Heads of State or Government of the European Union postponed until the end of 2019 the objective of an agreement on the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework (MFF) (see EUROPE B12278A5). In the conclusions they adopted on Thursday 20 June, they set themselves the opportunity to meet “in October” to exchange views on this sensitive issue, with the aim of reaching unanimous agreement “before the end of the year”.
