Daçian Ciolos well placed to chair liberal group in European Parliament

With France’s Nathalie Loiseau of the Republic on the Move party no longer in the running, who will succeed Belgian Guy Verhofstadt as head of the liberal group—which has now been renamed Renew Europe—in the European Parliament? On the eve of the vote (which will take place the morning of Wednesday, 19 June), forecasts in Brussels predict Romanian Daçian Ciolos will be the winner.
