EU Council publishes draft agreement on reform of European Stability Mechanism

17/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Council of the European Union put online, on Saturday 15 June, the draft agreement on the revision of the Treaty on the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). This agreement, reached on Thursday night at the Eurogroup, should enable the ESM to act as a common backstop for the Single Resolution Fund (SRF), the financial arm of the Banking Union's ‘resolution’ component, and to have an enhanced role in crisis prevention and management (see EUROPE...
